Physical health and mental health over the years have become very similar. From both benefiting from similar treatments to both dealing with similar diseases. If “an individual makes an effort to maintain physical health, it ultimately helps them to maintain mental health” (Psychologs)

One similarity that physical and mental health have in common is either one can make or break a person. If a person isn’t healthy physically it can cause a lot of problems or diseases. If a person doesn’t have a healthy mind, it can also cause problems or diseases. Some other similarities include (Psychologs):

1.      Biological Link:

a.      “It is said if a person consumes a healthy diet or does daily exercise it will impact our mental health positively” (Psychologs).

2.      Lifestyle:

a.      “Lifestyle choices like eating nutritious food, and performing regular exercise have a significant impact on the physical and mental health of an individual” (Psychologs).

3.      Chronic Conditions:

a.      “If a person is suffering from a deadly disease like cancer impacts physical health with mental health” (Psychologs).

4.      Bodily Symptoms:

a.      “If an individual feels happy, he or she might show a happy face and show happy actions” (Psychologs).

Physical and mental health both affect a person in either a positive or negative way. The two work together to make sure one’s body is working correctly, to make sure you’re as healthy and happy as one can be. Without one or the other it is very possible your body will remind you that you are in need of one, the other, or both.
